Just 2 blocks from the Capitol Building is my go-to coffee shop, Pie in the Sky. Andrea the owner is very personable and she happily makes my morning soy cafe au lait. The berry scones are a treat. The pies are delicious and I'm looking forward to trying the gluten-free chocolates one of these days.
I skip the lines at Heritage Coffee in the morning and head to Pie in the Sky. Perfect.

Hey, welcome to Juneau!
It's not much of a town for food greats, but there are a few good spots.
The Latinos restaurant on Franklin by the Baranof is just kind of getting started, but they have really awesome Mexican food. Out by Costco is another spot called El Zarape that does things the right way, too. Way out at Auke Bay is a great hole in the wall Thai place, Chan's. That's kind of the highlight for restaurants outside of the big established places.
Check the docks every so often down by the bridge. You can get spot prawns every now and again that are insanely cheap and wonderful. Same with crab, in season.
SuperBear out in the valley is the best store in town for quality fish. They beat everyone else by miles.
