Alaska: Athabascan Summer Parka

This year I received a new Athabascan summer parka from my parents. In Athabascan this male-style summer parka is called a meghaloona (pronounced '"mitza hoo lan"). The jacket was made by Freda. It is for special events and is made from a dark brown, fine wale corduroy with a green and gold trim. It has front pockets, a full zipper and a nifty hood. I consider myself lucky!
