I spent a long weekend in Seattle/San Juan Islands last week. I don't recall every being in the NW when everything is in bloom and I was stunned. Everything was beautiful, colorful, and bright. It also did not rain for a whole 5-day period so that might have something to do with it. Magnolia trees were in bloom everywhere, including the one in front of TEB's parents' house. I might have to make April in Seattle an annual trip. I am back in San Diego and enjoying the spring weather here. Have a great weekend!

I miss the smell of chokecherry trees blooming. There's a few here, but nothing like Fairbanks in early June.
