Kiva: Give a little...

KIVA is a non-profit, web-based organization that allows you to give small amounts in conjunction with others to better the lives of people in need. You can read though the hundreds of applications and chose who you would like to "invest" in. With a gift from TEB, I got to chose to help 4 people reach their loan goals. They are from all over the world and it was so hard to chose just these 4. What a great idea for a graduation gift, since it is that time of year, or it is perfect for any of your gift giving needs this year.

I have also given engagement and wedding shower gifts from Heifer International. This is another fantastic organization that allows you to give the gifts of animals that will help more than just the families they are given too. Take, for instance, the knitting basket gift. This gift consists of 2 llamas and 2 sheep that will provide the owners with wool that they can knit into goods for themselves or to sell. The llamas and sheep may also reproduce, which will provide additional income to the family.
