Wake-up: Smell the flowers in Yosemite

The rest of August is going to be focused on backpacking. The Yosemite high sierra trip was amazing and definitely a must-see in California. I left everyone hanging on the Chile "W" trail trip and I really want to finish posting about that great backpacking trip. Just think of the Yosemite High Sierra Camps as the "W" of North America--surprising similar and yet the terrain is very different. Ansel Adams describes Yosemite best:
